Pro Yellow Laser

If you are dealing with persistent redness, rosacea, keloid scars, Post-Inflammatory Erythema (PIE) or visible capillaries, Pro Yellow Laser is one of the most effective ways to treat these at their source.

The treatment uses a precise 577nm yellow wavelength that targets haemoglobin, the protein in your blood that gives it its red colour. By targeting this, we can directly treat the blood vessels responsible for skin redness. It is suitable for all skin tones, including darker skin types, as it selectively targets blood vessels rather than pigment.

The treatment is particularly effective for rosacea, broken capillaries and background redness that never fully settles. It is also one of the best treatments for post-acne redness, where marks linger long after breakouts have healed.

Most patients will need a course of treatments, typically around 3-6 sessions spaced a few weeks apart for full results. The treatment is quick and well-tolerated, with a warm, light snapping sensation on the skin.

One of the main advantages of Pro Yellow Laser is its precision. We are not resurfacing the entire skin, but focusing specifically on blood vessels, which means minimal downtime and a lower risk of irritation or pigmentation. The device also has an integrated cooling system to protect the surface of the skin during treatment.

About

About Pro Yellow Laser

Pro Yellow Laser works through a process called selective photothermolysis. The 577nm wavelength is highly absorbed by haemoglobin within blood vessels. When the laser energy is delivered, it is converted into heat inside these vessels. This creates controlled damage to the vessel walls, causing them to collapse and gradually be reabsorbed by the body.

Because this wavelength interacts minimally with melanin, the surrounding skin is largely unaffected. This reduces the risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation and makes the treatment safer across a wide range of skin tones.

The integrated cooling system protects the surface of the skin throughout the treatment. This allows us to treat vascular concerns effectively while maintaining the safety of the epidermis. Many devices that claim to treat redness either do not specifically target blood vessels or deliver more general heat into the skin. This can trigger unnecessary inflammation and, in some cases, worsen redness.

FAQs

Please see our most commonly asked questions below

What kind of results can be achieved?
The aim of Pro Yellow Laser is to help reduce visible redness and create a more even skin tone. The laser will help the skin to look clearer, less flushed and less reactive over time. Capillaries become less visible, and that constant background redness softens. For vascular lesions such as cherry angiomas or spider veins, these can be reduced significantly or resolve completely. Results build gradually with each session rather than appearing overnight. This approach gives more stable, long-term improvement, particularly in conditions such as rosacea.
Who is this treatment suitable and not suitable for?
This treatment is suitable if you have rosacea, persistent redness, flushing, visible capillaries or other vascular lesions. It is also a good option if your skin feels constantly inflamed or sensitive, even when there are no active breakouts. Pro Yellow Laser is suitable for a wide range of skin tones, including darker skin tones, because it selectively targets blood vessels rather than pigment. It is not suitable if you have active skin infections, certain medical conditions or if you are pregnant. If your redness is linked to another underlying condition, this will need to be assessed first.
How long does it last?
Once a blood vessel has been successfully treated, it does not return; however, new vessels can form over time, particularly if you are prone to rosacea or frequent flushing. This is why maintenance treatments may be recommended. Lifestyle factors such as sun exposure, heat and alcohol can influence how long results last.
What is the recovery/downtime?
One of the main advantages of Pro Yellow Laser is the minimal downtime. You may experience some mild redness or warmth immediately after treatment, but this usually settles within a few hours. In some cases, treated vessels may temporarily appear slightly darker before fading. This is part of the normal healing process. Most patients return to normal activities immediately.
What are the side effects and risks?
Side effects are very uncommon when the treatment is performed correctly. Temporary redness and mild swelling can occur. There is a small risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation, although this is significantly lower than with more aggressive laser treatments. As with all laser procedures, proper aftercare and strict sun protection are essential.
How painful is the treatment?
The treatment is generally well tolerated. You will feel a warm, light snapping sensation on the skin. It is not completely painless, but it is far more manageable than more aggressive laser treatments and does not usually require numbing cream. Pain levels vary depending on the area being treated and individual sensitivity.
Duration
Your appointment will be 30 minutes.
Preparing for treatment and aftercare
Keep the skin calm and protected following treatment. Avoid heat exposure such as saunas, hot showers or intense exercise for 24 hours. Daily SPF is essential for protecting the skin and maintaining results.
