Exosomes

We offer exosomes as an add-on treatment for Morpheus 8, Microneedling, and the Clear and Brilliant laser.

Exosomes are a bio-regenerative medicine that promote skin and hair repair and regeneration by harnessing the body’s natural regenerative process. Exosomes are nanoparticles released by nearly all cells in the human body. The skin has its very own kind of exosomes made up of lipids, proteins, amino acids and peptides.

When exosomes are applied topically to the skin, they send signals to our fibroblasts (where collagen and elastin are produced) to promote skin repair and regeneration. As messenger carriers, they prompt the body's natural healing process by sending signals to unhealthy cells to trigger them to regenerate and heal.

About

About Exosomes

Exosomes promote skin repair and regeneration. They have been widely studied for their ability to heal wounds quickly and decrease inflammation. Due to this, it makes them great to have after treatments to speed up the healing process, such as Morpheus 8. They also help increase skin density, protect skin from harmful radicals, help scars, increase skin hydration and help improve signs of ageing or skin irritation. Exosomes are comprised of 20 growth factors, 20 billion exosomes, hyaluronic acid, 23 amino acids and ten vitamins.

For the hair, exosomes can promote hair follicle growth, increase blood supply to hair follicles, and help prevent further hair loss.

Exosomes are applied topically and combined with a treatment that resurfaces or opens up the skin. Applying exosomes after these treatments allows them to penetrate deep into the dermis and work their magic. To see full results, we recommend three treatments spaced a month apart, followed by a top-up session every six months.

FAQs

Please see our most commonly asked questions below

What kind of results can be achieved?
Exosomes are designed to prompt the body's natural healing process so they can help with various skin concerns and issues. They improve skin quality and appearance, helping with skin laxity, texture, scarring, irritation and inflammation. For the hair, exosomes can help promote hair follicle growth. Patients may see an improvement in their skin after two weeks. It takes about 6-8 weeks for the effects of the treatment to kick in.
Who is this treatment suitable and not suitable for?
Exosomes are suitable for all skin types, tones and ages. We recommend this treatment for anyone who wants to improve the overall appearance of their skin, when having either Morpheus 8, Clear and Brilliant laser or Microneedling. Exosomes are also great at speeding up the healing process after these treatments. You cannot have this treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
How long does it last?
We recommend a maintenance treatment every 6-12 months for optimum results. Even though you are helping to build collagen, you will continue ageing, so you need to maintain it.
What is the recovery/downtime?
Exosomes are combined with treatments that resurface or open up the skin so they can penetrate. Depending on the treatment you choose to have them with, you may experience some short redness or downtime depending on the treatment.
What are the side effects and risks?
When used by an experienced and trained medical professional that has sourced quality product, this treatment has an extremely high safety profile. Exosomes are derived from cells, so there’s a potential low-chance risk of an allergic reaction. Individuals with a history of allergic reactions to skincare products must inform us prior to having the treatment. Avoid this treatment if you have skin cancer, are pregnant or breastfeeding.
How painful is the treatment?
The application of the exosomes, following your resurfacing treatment is painless.
How is it done?
Exosomes will be applied topically to the skin following either microneedling, the Clear and Brilliant Laser or Morpehus 8. These treatments open up the skin which allows the exosomes to penetrate into the skin.
